Thoughtfully curated “Family Selects”, honoring treasured items from the auction collection. 

December 8th – “The Outsiders”

A class of students sent Fred a letter from their librarian and paperback copy of S.H. Hinton’s The Outsiders. The letter had dozens of signatures from the school kids advocating that Fred and Francis make the movie. Fred reviewed the material and brought it from inception through fruition. The film is recognized as having one of the most iconic cast of all time, discovering generation of movie stars. The rest is legend. Most recently the novel and movie evolved to a Tony Award winning for “Best Musical” Broadway hit.

December 2nd: “I love the smell of napalm in the morning” – Selects from “Apocalypse Now”

If viewed as a collection, this set shows the progression of one of the greatest novel-to-screenplay adaptations of all time—from Milius’ original draft before Francis Coppola began writing, through each iteration of the screenplay, including the Michael Kerri Williams VO narration, culminating in the custom-bound Apocalypse Now script.
